AFTER THE CAMP

Veterans have they expressed how the BBQ Camp has helped them in their everyday lives and how they want to become more involved so when you graduate from the camp, you become an Alumni in the Veterans BBQ Camp Community! 

In this community, you get to meet with other veterans that have gone through the program with in person hangouts and social media groups. You will have the chance to help our non-profit make a difference in the community through events and outreach opportunities along with the ability to help with any future BBQ Camp!

This not only gives you a chance to bond with your brothers and sisters but lets you witness BBQ helping others, bringing this beautiful thing we call “BBQ” full circle. For example, the Veterans from the first and second camps used their new smoking skills to help others, such as the Waverly flood, August 21st, 2021. Several alumni of the Veterans BBQ Camp deployed, with their smokers, to Waverly, and fed approximately 450 flood victims, first responders, and other volunteers. 

All Alumni who attended the BBQ camps welcomed to come back to teach the new group what they have learned, paying it forward to their fellow brothers and sisters as well.
